June is when the earthy smell of mud and rain begin to fill Goa. The sun takes a backstep and clouds with light showers take over the sky. Now, these factors don’t make the beaches favourable for the typical Goan activities, but on the positive side, you get to experience the surreal walks on the deserted beaches under the pouring rain. And that pretty much makes up for the lack of water sports and such.

Local festivals like the Sao Joao feast of St. John the Baptist, also known as the fertility feast, the Sangodd festival, and the Beach Side Party, a monsoon party festival, make this season in Goa an entertaining endeavour.

Spice Plantation Tours

The off-season means less crowd and less opportunities to experience the true essence of Goa. However, that is what paves way for the undiscovered gems of the place to be explored. The spice plantations that come alive during the monsoon are just one of the few things to engage in.

Treks and Hikes

Right after the summers, just before the torrential showers, June is a perfect month with just the right amount of rain and sunlight to tie up your shoes and head to the hills for a quick trek.

One of the tallest waterfalls in Asia, Doodhsagar falls comes to life in the month of June. A majestic view and a treat to the senses, these falls are a must-visit in Goa.
